all the blackberry fun you can stomach

In the past 8 days I have had more dealings with my boss' Blackberry mobile device and his craptasm of a wireless provider than I ever hope to deal with again. If you find yourself thinking, hey it's not enough that people can reach me by phone at all times I would also like to be tethered to my email 24/7, please seek psychiatric help. I assure you it is not worth it. They are devil devices. I'm a big fan of email and the internet in general, but I just feel that if I am participating in any sort of activity that requires me to be away from a computer then I probably should concentrate my attention on the activity at hand rather than making sure I can keep all my email in my pocket or my purse. It's completely ridiculous to me. And try as I might there is no scenario I can think of which necessitates such a device. Next thing you know you'll just be able to implant a chip in your head. If you blink twice you can answer phone calls, 3 times get email, 4 access the internet, 5 download mp3s straight to your ears- no more need for iPods. What a glorious world! Okay if you'll excuse me I need to look into building a time machine and go make some pioneer friends. Oregon Trail here I come! I can ford rivers with the best of them. :)

You'll be eating lunch with them telling them your great new idea... and oh wait .. what is that buzzing...oh just an email...it'll be one sec... thirty minutes later and ten emails... so what were you saying?

Ditto on the RSS request.

And I like the idea of being blackberry free. Isn't the point of giving a person your email address to allow yourself to answer their questions when YOU are ready, and not when they harass you on the other anchor: the mobile phone.

Sorry guys I don't really believe in syndication. The reason for that is I on occasion post things and then briefly take them down or amend them. I like the ability to know that I have time to preview my posts before anyone else does. And if I understand this RSS thing correctly, the second I post you people will know about it which takes away my preview window.
